Director of Global Sales |National Accounts MICE

Sheer Hospitality is a sales representation company that provides hotels and destination management companies, looking to expand their global sales efforts in the North America, with access to an experienced sales team in the region. We participate in a wide range of in-market sales and marketing activities on behalf of our clients and are currently searching for a Director of Global Sales for National Accounts MICE.

This role is responsible for national account development efforts in the meeting, incentive, congress and event segments, and the ideal candidate is a successful hospitality sales or event management professional with a deep understanding of consultative/solution-base selling strategies. This position is home-based with unlimited earning potential that includes a base and uncapped commission incentive pay.

 

 

Required Skills and Experience:

 

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in hospitality or event planning related sales.

  • Proven track record of successful new client development.

  • Demonstrated ability to solicit and close group business deals.

  • Strong telemarketing skills and phone etiquette.

  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills.

  • Effective communication and presentation strategies.

  • Superior time management and project management abilities.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software/databases.

  • Experience working independently from home.

  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally.

 

Main Responsibilities:

 

  • Develop, solicit and close group business for our portfolio of clients.

  • Create business opportunities through direct sales calls and entertainment appointments.

  • Generate and follow up leads, attend trade shows, and participate in industry events.

  • Build and sustain long term client relationships that meet revenue growth goals.

  • Correspond with clients regarding potential business and future opportunities.

  • Collaborate with business intelligence teams to build and maintain a client database.

  • Document the lead cycle for prospective, tentative, definite, and lost business.

  • Coordinate the planning and execution of marketing, networking, and trade show events.

  • Maintain product knowledge of Sheer Hospitality member properties and services.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends and maintain ethical and professional standards.

  • Work to further the reputation and image of Sheer Hospitality.
